They encourage taking time off. They frown on going negative on PTO balance.

The best thing about taking vacation away from Devon is they allowed you to be on vacation and didn't interrupt time with you and the family.

the best thing is that it's already pretty robust and they don't stress you about when you take it

StarStarStarStarStar Current Tax Accountant in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

You get a lot of PTO (4 weeks) even as a brand-new employee, and it only goes up the longer you work. The only bad thing is it does not accrue (though this is normal anywhere outside of government jobs), so you have to use it or you'll cap out and stop building PTO balances.

  • Aug 18, 2015
StarStarStarStarStar Current Data Management Professional in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

I do like the amount of PTO I receive and the method Devon uses to calculate it, but I do not like that the sick time is bundled with the PTO.
