The best part of it is that they offer something, the choice of ONE provider and two seperate packages will only insult your intelligence. Benefits are crazy expensive for what you are getting in the end. I would search out a private quote and go with what you would actually benefit from. retirement is matched at a ridiculous low rate annually. paid time off is based off of you previous months "hourly" rate. that rate is calculated off of your total completed work value divided by your hours worked. so less time you "work" the more your hourly rate is. they don't ever tell you to enter false hours but a wink did come when i asked what i was doing wrong. bad practice but it is what it is.
Like any benefits anymore they are expensive. I didnt personally think they were worth it but some guys really liked them,

They offer great benefits. In general companies have been cutting benefits over the last couple of years, but DRS's owners have done a great job keeping the benefit programs in place. They offer health, dental, short term and long term disability, 401K with % matching, and a Flexible Spending program. Field employees get tools, gas card and van! Not a lot of company's are still offering all these benefits so it is good to see a family owned company that looks at more than just to bottom line.

Time off is nice , if you ask 14 days in advance and they are not flexible at all on that. Menial United Healthcare packages with low caps and high deductibles. Retirement is comparable to most large companies.
Expensive. If you have a family be prepared to pay alot for your family benefits. You will have to work a lot more to be able to afgord these benefits.
