    For 2016, Digital River changed the Health Insurance Coverage entirely. It caused a lot a confusion among fellow co-workers and many colleagues stated that Human Resources was of little help in answering questions. This caused frustration, confusion and unhappiness to other co-workers, as well as myself. They decided to switch from Medica to Health Partners.

    It is expensive but you have several choices to choose from. The eye insurance does not even work for most places.

    At the time, they offered PPO and HSA. I never really used it though.

    HSA plan places the risk on the employee instead of on the company. Digital River decided to save money and increase profits by shifting the increasing costs of health care onto their employees rather than finding a way to pay for it themselves.
