StarStarStarStarStar Current Assistant ASM Manager in Blue Springs, Missouri

All the benefits I checked are primarily for full time management. I was given a week off for personal reasons. No questions asked and no punishment. I was not paid because I’m currently part time but they are very understanding.

First time working with no experience. You have been warned. You will receive no training as a cashier. You will be thrown to the wolves only to feel embarrassed and lost. Reconsider Dollar Tree.

Video training upon first day. Some additional help if having difficulty with register system and drawer counting needs.

StarStarStarStarStar Former Assistant Manager in Milwaukee, Wisconsin

It depends on who you get and if they care about it. All mandatory computer learning was given but then after that it was not consistent.

worst training ever. They just shove you in an area if your stocking, and just tell you to stock. Even cashiering, just throw them on a register and expect them to know how when some people have never been on a register in their life.

StarStarStarStarStar Former Store Manager in Akron, Ohio

Training took about 4 weeks as a promoted employee. However, nothing could really prepare you for real-world instances and how to deal with employee situations. My trainer often went off on smoke breaks and never really answered more in-depth questions outside of the information covered in the guide book. Most of the information I was already pretty familiar with, and a great deal of time was spent doing computer lessons rather than hands-on training.

StarStarStarStarStar Former Employee in Bronx, New York State

Depends on who tr assigns you. You could get someone who cares or doesn't.
