Supervisors are given great latitude in setting work hours and days. I worked the 9/80 schedule for several years enjoying the extra 3 day weekends.

More generous for long-time employees, but new hires still accumulate vacation days quickly.

Vacation time is meager, to say the least. New employees get only 10 days (+2 personal choice) and then it goes up slowly. Nothing compared to European firms, even those with branches in US.

I don't like that, although I was hired in as an experienced employee (my coworkers have all been working for 10-25 years and I have been employed for 22 years), I was given the vacation time of someone who was there only 5 years.
