Paid time off is available for DuPont employees.
meets national averages
Company provides you with 3 weeks vacation when you hire on. Starting at 5 years, you will tick up an extra day per year until you reach 4 weeks vacation at 10 years. You will receive an extra week at 20 years for a total of up to 5 weeks of vacation. You have the option to carry over 1 week of vacation at the end of the year. Beyond that, the company has 10 holidays, and provides you with 3 personal days. The bereavement policy is mixed. On one hand, you are provided 5 days for the loss of a close family member and 1 day off for what they consider distant relatives. Sadly, I lost my grandmother this year and she was considered a distant relative by the company so I only received 1 day off. I ended up having to take extra time off from my personal day allowance. This is about average with industry.

Management was very flexible with vacation and paid time off. As a contract employee I didn't have the benefit but they worked with me so that I was able to get work done and still take the time I needed. Full time employees do receive very flexible paid time off.
