PTO accumulates very slowly, and can be forcibly applied by management if employee called out and did not specify that PTO shouldn't be used. This makes it harder to schedule an actual vacation that spans more than one day.
Time off was based on pto(paid time off). All of the vacation, sick and personal time was grouped together and subtracted not by days but by hours.
Vacation time was accumulated and often misrepresented on your pay stub. Although there was available time to be used store managers would threaten your job if your timing wasn't convineny for the store. As with all retail blackout dates were enforced from Thangsgiving until after New Years. Yet if the year ended and you were unable to take your vacation or sick or personal days they did not roll over to the next year.
Standard across the industry, nothing special. Use it or lose it mentality, except you can never use it.
Always a issue or complaint about when you wish to use these . They tell you things like " if your out we won't be able to replace the work you put out" . That was due to the lack of employment.
They have you work 37+ hrs a week but you are enrolled as part-time employee, therefore your vacation and personal day-off are paid at a 5 hr/day and 25hr/week rate. You are enrolled as a part-time so they don't have to pay you medical and dental benefits (required by law) off course.
Give a reasonable amount of vacation, personal days, and sick days
