  • Health Insurance(69 comments)

    Co-pay is kind of high

  • Vacation & Paid Time Off(28 comments)

Exempt employees start at 35 days of PTO and non-exempt start at 30 days.

  • Retirement Plan(25 comments)

The retirement plan is generous but they discontinued the rule of 75 which was a huge draw for a lot of people.

Best- Very rich retirement benefit and company matching.

Benefits are good. PTO is really good. I honestly got better benefits at other places. The best thing they have is the retirement plan. You’re able to retire after 15 yrs of service there. Co-pays are higher than expected.

The benefits are great at Duke Health. A generous matching is what makes me stay, honestly. Politics drives a lot of how you grow which is a big dissatisfier.

I am looking into doing the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Cert. Tell me if it’s worth it please! I don’t have my BS yet and I’m hoping it will help me progress. I’ve seen some pricey training programs and can anyone recommend a good program, preferably online.

This job has one of the best medical, dental, and vision plans I've seen and they also provide a reasonable ROTH retirement plan as well.

The health insurance is the best part of the benefits package. It is the main reason why I chose to work at Duke. However, your salary will be much larger outside of Duke.

Excellent health benefits, but must stay within Duke for most plans. If you are an hourly employee you can participate in retirement, but it will not be matched. Salary employees get a retirement match.
