Authorisers are flexible and understanding, there isn't really a worst thing...
Managers are kind and understanding if you are sick, and you are entitled for a reasonable sick pay.

Sick pay is paid at full pay after 3 month probation is completed, as long as you are not in any sickness performance management, which kicks in after having 3 different occurrences within 6 months. My boss has never put any of my absence on the system anyway though
after 6 months, you must be really sick
Managers dont seem under pressure to chase up sick leave within reason.
