Eastman Chemical provides paid vacation days, unlimited unpaid vacation days (with manager approval), and paid holidays.
Vacation was reduced from 6 wks to 5 wks with 3 days carryover (if you have length of service). Now we can't carry over any time at all.
When I left I had 5 weeks vacation, 26 weeks STD and you could take off for medical, dental and funerals with pay. Compared to where I work now, that is top shelf since I only have 2 weeks max and no paid time off.
Plenty of vacation time and 2 personal days. Your time off for a death in the family depends on your Team Manager. One lady that worked there only got 1 day off for the death of her husband because Team Manager didn't like her. Her Team Manager was 73 and knew how to play upper management. Sad they could not see through his evil games
Benefits are very competitive and affordable for the area we live in. Healthy programs and incentives offered are very helpful to employee.
Eastman has a good vacation policy. The only negative is employees can't carry any vacation over into the next year.

The vacation/pto time is consistent with other companies throughout this area. Takes a few years to get beyond 2 weeks.
Eastman's vacation policy has been good historically but the option to carry over vacation has changed in recent years.This year, 2017, is the final year that employees can carryover 3 days of vacation from 2016.
Its on par for the Chemical industry but way under many others.
Very satisfied with vacation program, especially as a new hire that has been in the workforce for 20+ years.
