LP opportunity, Profit Sharing. Many people stay at EJ for the retirement benefits...which can also feel like golden handcuffs

For a company who's business is retirement planning, their plan is awful. They have a profit sharing component and that is a plus, but the most they match for anyone is $500 per year.

Not much help to achieve long term

  • Jan 02, 2018
StarStarStarStarStar Current Financial Advisor in Sunnyvale, California

StarStarStarStarStar Former Financial Advisor in Seattle, Washington State

Profit sharing annually, based in your production. Obviously if ou qualify you can open and manage your own IRQ and Roth. 401k has Roth option.

    They have a good match.

  • Apr 13, 2017
StarStarStarStarStar Former Financial Advisor in Baton Rouge, Louisiana

401(k) was solid, but the profit sharing was a bit confusing.

  • Dec 07, 2016
StarStarStarStarStar Current Financial Advisor in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

They have tons of benefits for retirement, one that nobody knows is that you keep your limited partnership income in retirement.
