“employees get 25% off. better than most department stores”
“Blue cross blue sheild. good insurance”
Great health ins. at a reasonable price
The benefits are decent when you are full time. you get a 401k, blue cross blue shield health insurance , life insurance ant the option for accidental insurance
The worst thing about EB is they No longer offering a 401k plan
They have Blue Cross Highmark and CVS Carecard. Very cheap rates on medicine. $40 co pay on urgent care $200 for emergency room visits. Workers comp is great. After a year you get an extra 25% off all merchandise except for electronics. It works on all sales and clearance items, and you can combine with coupons or rewards cards.
There were no benefits that I was aware of while working at Elder-Beerman as I was only part-time. There maybe benefits that I am not aware of.
Work picnics cook outs. Door prizes raffles weekly meetings regarding the company and employees was not technically full time so I had no benefits while working there
The price of insurance is reasonable but it does keep going up. They offer vacation time to full and part time associates. 401k with a match up to 6%.
Since I was temporary/part-time, I was not offered benefits.
There were not benefits available to part-time employees
Elder-Beerman benefit options are about average. There are several options for level of medical insurance and you opt in for Dental, Vision, Accident/ Loss of Limb, & Cancer. There is an automatic life insurance plan (minimal) but you can opt for a better one with payments deducted from your pay. There are discounts available for IBM, Dell, and some cell phone service providers, but most associates do not know about them. There are also amusement park/ zoo discounts. Supervisors and up have access to company site (The ONE) which explains all the benefits. Other employees would not know unless a supervisor prints it out for them. There is a gym package open to associates in certain areas. In the past, EB funded associate events at store-level (monthly birthday cake, summer picnic, pizza), but that is pretty much extinct now.
List based on reports from current and former employees. It may not be complete.
