Pros: Overall good benefits. EMD uses Blue Cross-Blue Shield of Alabama. Cons: Premiums have increased over the last few years, but the coverage is pretty good.
Low premiums were nice, overall good coverage but lacked in some specifics that were desirable to me.

The best thing was the cost of health insurance and the benefits it provided!! 401k program is average with up to a 6% match. The salary wasn't competitive at all.
vaction time is 10 days a year, PTO is 2 weeks but 3 weeks if you worked there for over 4 years
No perks. Health insurance is above average and the cost is low. Vacation is average at best. Holidays are above average. 401k is average.
You can get vacation time but depending on department you may not even get the time off you requested even if its months in advance. Everything else is pretty standard.
Healthcare benefit is pretty good but paid time off is only as good you negotiated for it prior to accepting the job. Starts with 2 weeks and will go week up only at 5 years. If negotiated to start with 3 weeks then it will not increase until 10th year anniversary! Crazy...

They cut the 4.5% annual contribution to 401K. BCBS seems to pay less, with the remaining balance owed by you. Even though benefits list is longer, they are not what they seem. Constant budget cuts prevent us from improving inside company. Note the deductibles rising. Bonus plan was less than $100 last year-at least better than nothing.
