EA offers health, life, and disability insurance to eligible employees.
While you don't need to get a referral to a specialist, the health insurance is expensive for anyone who actually has to use it. Broke your arm? You're paying for the cast, x-rays, and meds out of pocket yourself. Need a boot? $250, please. Blood work is paid by you. Basically, anything that requires a physical product being used, you pay for it. I spend about $400 out of pocket for 2 medications as our insurance refuses to cover one of them. The company used to provide options between two insurances for people who used theirs more often and those who didn't but then they started getting the cheap stuff. They told us they had to cut costs somewhere.
The Health Insurance is the best in the state as far as I am concerned. I picked up the COBRA plan after my lay off, which is extremely expensive, because the plan is better than anything I was able to research in Florida. I miss EA's benefits in general for my family.
I have never had it so good.
Best in class medical and dental options.
Hands down a very comprehensive benefit. The premium for a family of 4 came out to be about 22k in 2016 and EA paid 80% of it.
Excellent health care. It is one of the best perks of working there. They cover medical, dental, and vision. I believe you can even call X times per year for things like talking to a therapist over the phone.
there are options at different price points for HMO and PPO plans
You have a number of trim and a great life insurance benefit
