They use PTO, personal time off. Therefore no established vacation days, just use what you want when you want. I didn't love that since I had two small vacations planned before I got the job and took them shortly after starting.

Unlimited PTO is good for new employees as they can start taking vacations right away, just don't abuse the system.
The best part is it really motivates people to excel. If there is a room for improvement, the formulation of an incentive scheme should be carefully consulted to the people in the grass roots before launching so that it can have a point of view of how people would feel about it.
