Maternity, paternity, and adoption leaves are available to eligible Lilly employees. Adoption and paternity leave are up to 40 hours and maternity leave can be up to 16 weeks (partially paid).

Best thing: 10 weeks paid leave are provided in addition to the option to take 6 weeks unpaid. Worst thing: Not all people are in the position to take 6 weeks unpaid, so 10 weeks feels like a very short amount of time. Luckily I was able to take 6 weeks and an additional week of vacation to have 17 weeks with my newborn.
