    The hotel did provide benefits but not until you have been employed for 8 months. This position is unionized and you can not opt out. You start paying dues, initiation fee and other fees one month after you have been employed. With a unionized position you do not receive holiday pay for the first 3 months (probation period) and have to work weekends. In addition, you are at the bottom of the totem poll therefore everyone else gets first dibs on days off, vacation, etc. Also, if hours have to be cut yours will be the first. All PTO, sick days and vacation days do not start accumulating until your probation period is over. Until then any days you take off will be without pay. The best part of working at any Hilton brand is the Team Rate hotels, Family and Friends discount and other deals/discounts on various things such as Broadway plays, movie tickets, the list goes on. Hilton does take care of their employees that way. Also, if you were to apply to the Marketplace for health insurance, Hilton provides a generous amount of credits.

    The company offers insurance, but it is not great. After one year you are eligible for one week of vacation and two sick days. It takes three years to acquire two weeks. The great thing is the employee discount for Hilton properties.

    The benefits take about 6 months to kick in and i was informed about this before i started working. I heard the benefits are nice, but im still waiting to experience for myself.
