They offer free health insurance for yourself, they have dental and vision but you have to pay for that, they also offer 401k
They don't offer insurance for part time dockworkers which sucks if you have a family but I have a second job so it worked out for me but could be a deal breaker if you don't.
The cost for health benefits are much higher than competing LTL carriers like FedEx, UPS, Yellow etc... The 401K match is also lacking when compared to the above companies. Estes will match 3.5% of the first 7% you contribute. Nothing above 7% is matched. Overtime is not paid till you reach 52 hours. That is down from 55 hours. The others mentioned above are far more generous to employees in all the areas mentioned.
Basic benefits. Cons: Company imposed policy of no Holiday Pay for first 90 days. Company imposed short window of time to sign up for benefits when there is a life changing event. You cannot sign up for dental only if your spouse is eligible. These are company imposed policies, not legal mandates that make it more difficult for employees to fully enjoy the benefits available. Vacation time is not commensurate with experience or competitive within the industry.
Estes offers a comprehensive benefits package, including Paid vacation, sick time, and holidays 401(k) plan with company match Medical, dental, and vision insurance
401k is very profitable medical needs improved time off for vacation is good
