Terrible. Very aggressive. Was brought into those cold little rooms they do waxes in and grilled over the stupidest minute details.
Extensive sales training offered to GSAs.
No designated trainer, waxers have to take a pay cut in order to train new hires. Hiring generally occurs when the store is understaffed, which means that despite having a fully booked schedule, waxers are forced to block off their schedule to train new hires even if they don't want to.
training is very thorough here. If you feel like you need more training, they are more than happy to provide additional training.
The absolute worst and most humiliating training you will ever recieve. There is no “constructive crisitism” it is purely just to make you feel inferior. The trainer (no longer employed) that I had was on a huge power trip. You can easily be set up to fail because training is only a week and they will likely try to shorten a lot of it and leave out important details.
ITs very detail oriented but that's because there is a lot to memorize for the position. But otherwise it great and you get paid for it .
If your franchisee is willing to invest, they have the opportunity to send you somewhere for quality corporate training. But some will just have you train with another manager which can be a great thing or not so much.
Training was intensive, 3 days with trainer and 4 days of free waxing for models to practice on and get use to the wax. You are usually booked from open to end of your shift with no breaks to get in as much models as you can.
The trainer was Kristen was great but it could have been a bit more thorough
Pro- You get to have friends/family come in for free waxing while you are in training. Practicing on real people instead of watching videos is a real plus! Management makes sure you are ready and comfortable to begin taking paying clients before training concludes. Con- Your co workers train you. I have heard them say before that they don't train people the correct way because they don't want them to be better than others.
