Unlimited PTO sounds like a dream (and I guess technically, it is), but it can lead to ambiguity around if/when you should be allowed to take a vacation.
We have a stated "unlimited" time off policy; however, there's an unstated limit for some.
PTO accrues at a rate of 30mins for every full shift worked which is pretty great!
Vacation and sick time are unmanaged. You TTIN (taking time I need) when you need it. As long as your work is done, no one worries about when you're gone.
"Unlimited time off" or "Take the time you need" - sounds great, but it really is not. The ultimate decision of when you can take off and for how long rests with your direct supervisor. If they do not think you should take the time then you are not allowed to "take the time you need".
