“No vacation time, but you do accrue sick time each pay period.”
“Flexible hours allow you to work an additional job or take care of your family. Saturday work is pretty certain if you want to make any money, though.”
Coverage for accessing PTO was unavailable. Area Manager shared details re FMLA which was illegal.
No benefits as examiners are not allowed get more than 29.5 hours per week. Yet, examiners aren't paid per hour. You're actually paid by the exam - anywhere from $18 - $26. Yet you do clock in - from when you leave your house to when you finish processing exams, scanning them and preparing them for shipment (all unpaid time). Also have to use your own ink, paper etc when working from your home.
0 stars terrible place to work for. out of pocket expenses exceeds income..
As an Examiner this job is best suited for those that do not depend on benifits or have through a spouse.
It's nice, but it could be better. It's a 401k, sick time off, and if you get hurt on the job they cover that, and sometimes mileage reimbursement depending on where you're going. They also have a Quest Diagnostics Employee stock program you can take part in.
The benefits that were offered were the usual benefits offered at many companies. The best benefit being the profit sharing through the stock purchase option. Another that may be a pro or con, depending on how you look at it (I see it as a pro) is the fact they do NOT pay for mileage. For me, it is very beneficial at the end of the year at tax time.
As a Mobile Examiner (contract work) there are no benefits as far as health insurance or 401k plans. The best benefits are that you can take vacations and time off basically whenever you want.
Time off is grouped together as sick and vacation so it's accrued quickly, however you don't get to use it as often as all time off requires 24 hour approval or corrective action--even if you're sick.
20 days time off with pay min. is the best
work diligently and you can work FT, handling as many cases as you can-a whole territory can be yours to work!
List based on reports from current and former employees. It may not be complete.
