not bad. its an average
Ability to accrue lots of vacation and paid time off but depending on where you go it may be difficult to get time off and you do not want to use it while in training.
The longer you work there, the more vacation time you accumulate every pay period.
For federal service you start off earning 4 hours per pay period (2 1/2 weeks), after 5 years you earn 6 hours per pay period (3 1/2 weeks) and at 15 years you earn 8 hours per pay period (5 weeks). Your vacation can roll over to the next year as long as you don't go over 240 hours.
You accrue your time and nobody gives you flack for taking it.
4-8 hours a pay period
The US Gov employees are well complemented as to paid leave. No bad comments are available.
Plenty of annual leave and sick leave are available.
4 hours per pay period (every two weeks) to start off. Goes up to 6 hours after 3 years and 8 hours after 15 years.
Hours increase with years of service. Lots of people get to a "use or lose" situation and have more than they need.
