Through FLIR, you'll have a selection of medical plans for you and your family, which includes coverage for domestic partners. These plans include a Health Savings Plan and two levels of PPOs with several tiers of coverage. In addition, just in case you can’t get to your doctor when you need to, we offer telemedicine through MDLive where you can videoconference or talk by phone with a physician 24/7. We also offer generous vision benefits and our dental insurance program provides comprehensive coverage including orthodontia for adults and children.
FLIR pays a very large portion of Employee health insurance. There are multiple plans to choose from. Major provider with excellent in and out-of-network coverage.
FLIR pays the bulk of the cost of benefits. Health insurance is not cheap and FLIR cares about their employees health and wellbeing. They provide several options at different price points so you can select the plan that best fits your individual needs.
There used to be better offerings in the insurance package, but was latter reduced during a switch to new coverage.
PROS: 50% 401K Match, PTO, 10 paid Holidays, Gym, subsidized cafeteria service. CONS: Always changing. Lots of errors. FLIR outsources most of the work, so no accountability within. Health plan through UHC only pays 80% for buy up plan. Family plan expensive with high out of pocket deductible. Very profitable company should pay more. Mandated online OPTUM Rx is terrible. Read the complaints online.
It is always changing. The plans are very hard to understand.
