The benefits are very good. You are more likely to get a time off award than a bonus and promotions/growth opportunities are not always available.
I was under a contract with Fostersoft, but the benefits were not bad. Of course health insurance is expensive anyways, but you have to have it. Vacation time is accrued per pay period along with sick and annual leave
