Good health insurance and 401K
FujiFilm SonoSite (FFSS) provides fairly decent benefits including a 50% match on 401k contributions up to 6%.
There is an extra 4% 401k contribution in addition to the normal matching.
401K match is not so bad, but the company is eliminating co-pay insurance plan and moving to Consumer Directed Health Plan with high deductible. Yes you can save money on your HSA account....
The deductible: you end up spending a ton of money before its reached.
Decent 401k match ($0.50 to a dollar up to 6% of employee paycheck) and additional 4% contribution by the company. Medical premiums and deductibles have been going up and up ever since merger with FujiFilm's plans. Company contributes $500+ annually to HSA accounts, however.
Recently changed to newer HSA Health plan / consumer driven plan. Positive note: company contributes $1,000 per year per family each January to HSA account an absorbs the majority of the actual premium per check. Negative Note: plan is very high deductible so even with small to moderate paycheck contributions to HSA, any person needing to use health insurance for major instances will be stuck with large bills to pay off in the long run. With such a large group under Fuji now, shouldn't we be able to get better rates as a whole company? The only perk is the subsidized onsite cafeteria. Breakfast is $2.50 and lunch is $4.50. Buffet style and a variety of foods. Additionally there is an onsite Avante store where snacks and cold drinks can be purchased during non meal hours. There are no company wide events or celebrations for holidays, there are no team building offsite events in the sales support or operations groups. PTO is earned per check, rather than issued as a lump benefit that renews each January based on years of service . Therefore, if a person has tenure and should have lets say, 5 weeks of time off per year, they do not have it available at the beginning of each year to use and plan. It is earned and can only be used after accrual of hours. Any earned hours over 80 are not allowed to be rolled over to the next year. and any employees choosing to leave the company are not paid for any unused earned time. There is an onsite fitness room that is about the size of an apartment gym. There are multiple new workout machines available as well as weights, and, employee led classes that can be taken during the day (yoga, aerobics etc). Once you take an initial walk through and safety introduction course, you are free to use the room at any time.
The best benefit is 3% match on 401k
