they provide decent benefits to the corporate but some operators complained that they do not give accidental insurance
Start with 2 weeks paid vacation and 5 sick days, monthly commission off store sales, roth 401k, health insurance
Fastenal has a decent benefits package. The employee discounts are great and apply to many things from cars to Fastenal products. The best aspect is the flexibility with time off, a generous amount of PTO is offered and management is flexible if an employee needs to take unpaid time off for some reason.
They do not have any real negatives.
Vacation time was fairly generous, the 401k plan was very confusing, health benefits were decent but if you needed a procedure or something out of the normal done you still got a decent hospital bill.
Wasnt clear on how and what i had covered.
They are mediocre at best. Nothing stands out from any other company.
They have a 401k that they do not match at all. They take it out of your check with out permission and then you have to jump over hoops to get if off. I think the first months I was checking the statements online and was loosing money on this deal. There are no other benefits for part time workers. They have a nice break room with nintendo switch, ping pong, air hockey table, and a mini market type of service for snacks. But you only get a 10 min break so the usage of this is basically never. There is no time to use it. It takes you so many minutes to walk to this break room, and use the bathroom, etc. They have a gym also for use but this is also a joke, you basically dont want to come back to this company location on your off hours.
Part time benefits are not so great
The worst thing is that a family package costs around 800/ month. But the best thing is if we’re to get cancer tomorrow the company would pay for 100% of the bill.
List based on reports from current and former employees. It may not be complete.
