The company has a very good unpaid leave program if you don't qualify for FMLA.

6 weeks paid maternity leave. One of the weeks is taken from your PTO bank. Not very long at all. You can take longer without pay.

Policy for maternity leave is straightforward and easy to understand. Must use 40 hours of PTO at the start of the leave which could be a problem for some. It means returning with little to no available time off when you have a newborn with doctor's visits. But STD, which is paid by the company for all employees, covers a portion of your salary for the period of your leave that the doctor indicates is necessary to recover (6-8 weeks).
