Men and women get two weeks paid leave. Disability doesn’t cover full pay the six weeks it is offered.
As a father I was given two weeks of time to use as paternity leave without impacting my PTO bank.
They were pretty flexible on this program, but it also probably depends on your manager.
Best things - you get 2 paid weeks on the bank and your short-term disability insurance is funded by the bank (which is worth about 5 weeks of leave). Worst thing - the rest of your FMLA you have to fund through your paid-time off.
