No company perks or bonuses. Pay is tightly controlled by the State, so unless they decide to give the department more money raises are highly unlikely. Retirement, Life insurance, dental, vision, health policies clearly explained. Very flexible leave scheduling.
I love the benefits package available to FDACS employees. I pay less now for medical, dental, vision, and life insurance than when I worked for a previous private sector company.
Good health benefits. Annual and sick leave accrues quickly and time off requests are always approved. Pension plan is OK. The "Investment Plan" option used to be decent, A employer contribution based on 9% of your salary was placed into an account in lieu of being part of pension program. Over the past five years the investment plan was reduced to 6% employer contribution, then to a 3% employer contribution and 3% employee contribution.
