    The high risk pension plan retirement is very nice. The only drawback is that most employees do not make it to be vested. I would recommend the investment option if you are new. You can make a 2nd choice to switch to the pension plan later if you decide to stay for longer than 8 years.

    At the time it was one of the biggest selling points to work for the department. Lately, the government is trying to restructure the retirement and make it less pension based and more investment.
