State of Florida's benefits are the best benefits I have ever seen. Excellent health, life, dental and vision insurance. Very inexpensive compared to other civil service jobs in Florida. Especially when it comes to family coverage.

High Risk Retirement is great -- 25 years and collect a retirement check regardless of your age. Accrual of Leave time -- In order to offset the low pay, the state offers a liberal amount of leave time such as annual leave, sick leave and leave for working holiday. Holiday leave must be used within a 6 month period or it is forfeited.
