You accrue more vacation as your length of service increases. Performance bonuses given hospital wide if the company does well on the HCAPS surveys.
Insurance offered is expensive and does not appear to cover very much. Night shift differentials are a complex system to compensate the nurse the least (full night shift diff from 11pm-7am only) Holiday pay is only 13%.
Good: Full range of benefits expected on a top notch employer. Can't really think of any deficiencies. Bad: No 403(b) matching for residents/fellows.
Company match on retirement was generous, however you must work there for five years to be 100% vested in the program.

The best thing about the benefits package is the PDO and ability to carry PDO over into the next year, allowing the employee to bank unused PDO. At the same time, they encourage their employees to live a healthy lifestyle, and getting rest and relaxation is very much a part of their philosophy.
