Good: Full range of benefits expected on a top notch employer. Can't really think of any deficiencies. Bad: No 403(b) matching for residents/fellows.
Insurance offered is expensive and does not appear to cover very much. Night shift differentials are a complex system to compensate the nurse the least (full night shift diff from 11pm-7am only) Holiday pay is only 13%.
Company match on retirement was generous, however you must work there for five years to be 100% vested in the program.
All the usual benefit package but what makes it unique is their program for employees - Creation Health. This is a motivator to get or stay healthy by completing certain criteria selected by employee & goal oriented with a financial benefit for achieving.
The best thing about the benefits package is the PDO and ability to carry PDO over into the next year, allowing the employee to bank unused PDO. At the same time, they encourage their employees to live a healthy lifestyle, and getting rest and relaxation is very much a part of their philosophy.
Company perks would be having income, PDO, 401k, discounts on things such as hotels and cell phones to mention a few.
Fragmented structure, benefits established at regional, not corporate level.
Opportunity to accrue Paid Time Off. Good health benefits.
The benefits are average, compared with other hospital systems that I have worked for. The dental is below par for a hospital this size. It would be worth your while to carry a policy outside of work. PDO is combined for everything, that includes sick, holidays, and vacation. If you are on call for a holiday, your PDO is still deducted even tho technically you are not off.
Love working at Florida Hospital. One of the best places to work at. Got a great benefits package as mentioned below.
List based on reports from current and former employees. It may not be complete.
