Health, dental and vision insurance
3 versions of medical and their benefits are awesome! Main plan is a copay plan without any deductible to meet (even hospital stays), which is rare. Dental is typical along with vision. FRS contributions are great, but Florida has decreased its value the past 5 years with 3% required contribution (was 0) and raised pension vesting time from 5 years to 8. Work from home is worth more than most other benefits. Plenty of vacation/sick time is offered based on years of service in FRS. Given 2 weeks for December winter break and 1 week for 4th of July week for free. They provide stipends for smartphone and high-speed internet access that mostly pays for bills.
Good health insurance, lots of time off
The benefits package is exceptional. A major bonus to an outstanding work environment.
There is no real time off. Only putting off of work until your next day "on the job". The insurance is good, but high co-pays and the dental and vision are barely worth the premium.
