Working in a kitchen you are privy to little or no benefits unless you are a member of upper managment.
No benefits offered to hourly servers because you're hired as part-time even if you work 50+ hours a week. Working 6-7 days a week, in three years I never averaged enough hours to qualify for assistance-shifts are cut immediately when business slows and you're basically kicked off the clock regardless of status. There's no getting your hours. Averaged 6 days a week, 3-5 hour shifts.
FRC offers 9 days of combined vacation and sick for your first year. I work at corporate (aka "The Big Kitchen") and we don't even get 2 weeks of vacation plus sick time. After one year you get 14 days combined. I've NEVER worked for a company like that. The hours are REGULARLY in excess of 60/week and the insurance is SUPER expensive. You also cannot participate in the 401k at all until AFTER you have been employed for over a year. The 50% dining discount is pretty cool though.
There is health insurance available, i believe paid time off is only for management. Although management is very flexible as far as requesting time off but its preferred to do it asap and not last minute.
401k match after 1 year of service and vesting!
I don't know. I left at a year, right as I was eligible for insurance.
