Great insurance and supplemental benefits
The benefits appeared to be standard benefits most companies offer. Make sure you use all of your PTO before you leave because if you earned it they will not pay it out when you leave like most other companies.
No explanation of offered benefits by HR
The benefits are good and are reasonably priced for what they offer. I opted for all benefits and it was still lower monthly then my previous employers.
Great health insurance and other benefits
Freedom Mortgage officers a variety of benefits including Dental, Health insurance and 401k.( and most importantly PTO) Within my time, they have also given many free lunches, items, employee bonuses through "high Flyers" and many more little things local to the area being discounted or free. (gyms, museums, amusement parks etc.)
You get 16 days of PTO per year; if you don't use them by the time you quit (or are fired), you will lose all of them, and they won't be paid out. You also can't take any of the PTO days or get paid holidays until you are with the company for three months. You get one floating holiday per year along with normal holidays like Christmas and Thanksgiving. (We also got Christmas Eve as a present from the company... but a lot of companies give the entire week off, so that's not that great.) The insurance seemed pretty standard. The 401(k) match was laughable, and the period in which one becomes completely vested is 5-6 years, which is ridiculous. I worked in a couple different departments, and working from home was generally frowned upon. One department tolerated it, while the other wouldn't permit it. You can get some menial discounts at a couple restaurants and gyms. I believe they had maternity leave, but I really doubt paternity leave was an option. There was a 50,000 dollar life insurance policy that they would give your family in the case of your death. I believe there was one day of volunteer time you could take, but only with certain Freedom-approved organisations. They also do have tuition assistance for current students, but not any sort of student loan forgiveness programs. Bereavement leave depended on how close of a familial relationship you are to the deceased; if they were an immediate family member you could have three days; if further out, one day.
10hrs a month PTO accrual Company match 2.5%
Good Insurance - i have no complaints
Healthcare seemed expensive and dental and vision were supposedly not very good (although I never needed to use them). There are also some discounts for certain places that I never personally used but others used frequently (movie tickets, cars, etc).
