After 2015, it went downhill, training was a joke and nobody cared about training. They care more about the labor than employees
They will put you on the front lines to prepare ice cream for customers on your first day as your training. Even if you're with someone who knows what they are doing, it can be super stressful the first few weeks.
I felt well prepared. They train you for a week with another server then you're on your own. But no worries, customers are patient and it gets easier over time.
So disorganized. I trained half the staff and I hadnt worked for the company in 5 years.
Figure it out by yourself
Training done at training stores, who have been prepped to train new hires or newly promoted staff
"Job training" should be used very lightly for Friendly's, especially for a fountain worker. My first shift was a four hour shift that consisted of about two and a half hours of the manager telling me how to make ice cream and the other hour and a half was her telling me to try to learn myself. All in all, I basically had to teach myself everything.
