    The worst thing is that they keep changing the package layout yearly , so your never sure what to expect year in year out.

    The worst thing is the sick time. You earn the federal minimum of 1 hour of sick time earned for every 30 hours. You don’t earn Paid Time Off until you’ve been with the company for 1 year. Then, once you get to that mark the company haggles you and tries to make you feel guilty for taking your earned vacation. Oh, and their “vacation” means giving you a check for 1 weeks’ work and then marking you absent when you do take that 1 week off. So backwards, but what can you expect from a company that’s so backwards.

    The best thing about the benefits package is that it is client-based, so if your site location wants to match what you are given to what they offer their employees it could be really good and vice-versa.

    Vacation and PTO, not much to be offered on this front. Vacation comes as a one time pay out after your 1 year work anniversary. You get a check for a week's worth of pay and then they mark you absent for the week you decided to take off. When it comes to "personal days" you get sick time and that is it. For sick time you earn 1 hour of sick time for every 30 hours you work so it's not that great. Depending on the contract you work on, you may get paid holidays or you may not. If the company G4S has been contracted by doesn't feel like paying for the holidays then neither will G4S.
