It is primarily an HSA insurance provider that has been nothing more than a complete nightmare for my family to experience. Claims being denied due to stupid clerical errors on their part, massive turn around times, the list goes on.
High cost share, our insurer changes really frequently
Very unaffordable but more afftordable than Obamacare. GCI will fire you if you use FMLA or if you utilize your benefits often. I returned from an FMLA claim and I was terminated. Upon requesting a copy of my personel file, all of the termination documentation was not provided and was found to be missing from my file. The original document I still have in my possession and should have been included in my file, but it was coincidentally missing. Attorneys are investigating.
A high deductible plan, $4K individual, $6K family, with an HSA that also has some company allowance. It's a great plan but it does require you to manage your spending. Coverage is very good, including centers of excellence care (they send you and one other first class to a premium care facility and provide room and board until you return) for some surgeries.
It's a high deductible plan. The more expensive option has a deductible of $4000 for an employee and spouse.
