401K is average, at best. 50% match up to 8%, effectively 4% contribution from the employer. It is managed through Fidelity and there are limited options to choose from.

4% match on 8% contribution. Seems fairly standard. Pretty decent mix of mutual funds to invest in. Can also take a loan from 401k for up to 50% of value which can be very handy.

StarStarStarStarStar Current Machinist in Piedmont, South Carolina

Matching 401k with $0.50 on the dollar when you contribute at least 7.5%.

  • May 27, 2016
StarStarStarStarStar Current Engineer in Cincinnati, Ohio

Matches only 50% up to a maximum of 8% of your salary. It is administered through Fidelity, which is also a clown show. Very limited investment options selected by GE, so not too much help there.
