GE has a pension plan (if you were hired prior to a certain date). Newer employees now have a higher 401k match to offset that they are not eligible for pension participation.
The older employees are given full pensions, where as the newer employees have percentages of their income contributed into a retirement plans.
They cutoff the pension plan to new employees
It’s available just not there to take advantage of
GE used to have pension plan but no longer available to new hires
Thay have a good retirement plan where they match
Pension Plan is good but different option for new employees now
Just depends when you were hired, new hires aren't getting much.
