After age 50 GE matches 401k at 8%
The medical insurance is not the best, but at least is somenthing.
benefits used to be good but have been significantly reduced especially the health care coverage
Permissive leave options is one of the best thing , 401k match is also well. Health Insurance premium is on high end.
If you got in early enough a pension plan was available. They have changed the package in 2018 so that more money is coming out of your pocket and if you have a spouse that is working but declined their employer's insurance to be on GE's, you have to pay extra
The medical coverage costs are pretty steep.
Less opportunity for bonuses for middle managers vs senior managers. Less health insurance that 2 years ago. Good options to add family for dental and eye care. Good match in 401K
Company still offers pension to legacy employees which makes them a rarity. However 401k company match is less than most companies
Best is that they have a full suite of benefits to choose from but recent hires no longer get a pension. Also each year the benefits cost more for less coverage and higher deductibles while you get no pay increases.
