I can't think of any bad thing about GE. It is a very great place to work for.
Too much out of pocket expense
401k is matching. Pension is no longer offered to new employees, but for those that get it...that is a great thing. 3 choices of health insurance
Decent benefits by industry standards which include 401k Retirement Plan with matching contributions, Defined Benefit Pension Plan and Paid Time Off.
The salary and bonus structure is extremely traditional which means minimal differentiation in pay between top and bottom performers. You can have an outstanding performance in a given year and essentially receive 0.5% more of a raise than a peer who didn't carry their own weight.
Healthcare premiums are more expensive than before. We are on a deductible not co-pay plan. Wife had great maternity leave benefits.
Flexibility in work hours and Vacation is the best part of the company. Healthcare package is not as good as it was before.
Best, good pay, Worst, everything else about the job.
