It would be nice if vesting didn't take 6 years its hard to stay at a company for that long.

No matching; just first 10% of profit sharing into 401K and it takes 6 years to vest.

They do offer 401k (SOP) however they do not match. They have profit sharing which occurs every February and they put 10% into your SOP ( 401k), and you’re given the remaining percentage in cash. For example, if the percentage is 19% then 10% goes into your SOP (401k) and the rest is paid to you. The vesting schedule for the SOP (401k) is 6 years and the schedule is a little off. You receive 20% after 2 years (nothing before), 40% after 3 years, etc. so if you decide to only stay for 3 years do not expect to be at least halfway vested

  • Jun 04, 2019

The company Vanguard is not an easy company to work with and the plan has some very peculiar rules. This is the worst part about the benefits.

    This is good. Typical.
