Employee paid 20/80 split on the health care.
The best thing is the company car program for senior employees. The 401k match does not vest for a few years depending on your seniority.
GMF Self-Funds their claims, using Cigna Open Access for benefit and claim administration. Over all in this day in age, the benefits package is primo. High deductibles, but that's with most all employers now. They provide a wellness credit which encourages healthy habits,. Actually, I personally think that's the component that should be carried onto the AFA or TrumpCare or whatever we end up with in the public health arena to make our country healthies, but I digress - has nothing to do with GMF. I consider a hidden benefit they don't even advertise. If you have an electric (plug-in) vehicle, they provide you free electricity you can charge while you're working. That's like free gas, folks. Great company - they really care about their culture - very sensitive to making sure its healthy and that employees stay engaged. They could easily add pre-paid legal at no expense to them, but they haven't, which seems a little odd to me given the sophistication of the benefits package in place.
GMF has great benefits. 10 vacation days a year plus 5-6 sick days a year. After one year of enployment you get an additional 5 personal days. Great health and dental, short and long term disability, they even cover 3 therapy appointments per year if needed.
Paid time off is really good... Two weeks of "vacation" and one week of "personal" time off.
The best thing about the benefits package is the bonus structure! Depending on your yearly salary you could get a pretty descent bonus.
Great benefits and very affordable.
Overall compensation is very competitive. PTO increases after 1st year anniversary for a total of 120 hours a year.
Employees are rewarded with very competitive number of vacation days, however a work-as-you-earn vacation process is frustration. Benefits coverage is on the poor side.
The benefits at GMF are great, we have not found any one that will not take our insurance, and my 401k is already grown bigger that last company with half of time at company.
