Galileo just revamped their benefits package to ensure they are competitive in the marketplace
The benefits are pretty good.
Starting in 2019, health benefits are 100% paid for single, 2 party AND family!! 11 paid holidays, 3 weeks 3 days vacation to start. 401K, tuition reimbursement, 100% paid dental and more!
The benefits package is pretty dreadful. The starting PTO is decent, not great, but no additional sick leave, and it takes 3+ years to get additional PTO days. Costly health coverage. And heaven help anyone who gets pregnant while working here, the maternity leave is practically non-existent and paternity leave IS non-existent. 401(k) matching that only vests after 5 years. They are very far behind industry/tech sector standards for employee benefits.
They care and it shows each year!
I really like that there is Humanitarian PTO but the Maternity leave is minimal and Paternal doesn't exist.
Deductible is above average for health insurance and prescription
We have a 401K matching program, medical, the usual stuff. We get good PTO and a lot of the time we have meals in the beautiful kitchen. Not sure if it's a perk but we have ping pong and other games that some people get pretty competitive at, it livens the office up a bit.
Their benefits are not great
