The only good benefit to working at Gander Outdoors is the employee discount, which is 15% over cost. The health insurance cost almost $400 for the most affordable option and covered hardly anything. The 401k program was a token gesture and life insurance policy wasn't worth taking.
Benefits were standard. Managements approach for all was your lucky to have a job, incentives outside of that were unnecessary. Performance bonuses never trickled down past upper management.

The insurance is expensive and sucks, i have to pay $200 a month for insurance that I can't use until I meet a $5000 deductible. Manufacturers offered a lot of programs where you can earn free guns. I earned 6 this year.
