The best thing about the benefit package, it is very competive. you'll get the best package like dental, vision along with a lot more benefit that I can't even count.
Best thing: 401K plan match is very good
2 weeks vacation the first year and 3 weeks the second year and after. All employees participate in an ambiguous bonus, completely subject to the board of directors at the end of the year, based on GIA performance. Since GIA is heading into a couple years of natural downturn in the industry, don't expect it to pay out in the next couple years. Salaries are extremely low, but out of pocket costs for benefits are great. Work-life balance is very good, which comes from a lot of "mediocre" people that don't want to work a minute over their 40 hours. If you like to see change and get things done, this is probably not the place for you. There is a push to make this happen with a few key individuals, but there is a greater resistance from the lifers who have been there 15, 25, and 35+ years. The productive type have an uphill battle.
everything is very good and I am satisfied with all the benefits I can get.
Full Benefit package, dental was not the best but it was ok. NYSC discount.
Benefits are good with matching 401k. Salary is not ideal. I believe everyone is $10,000 underpaid for the nyc and for the job function they are given.
Great benefits. Diverse medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance. Company 401(k) plan with employer match. Paid vacation and sick time.
Several weeks of Vacation, 401K matching, great Medical plus dental/vision, not to mention on campus perks all make GIA a great company for employees benefits-wise.
Good matching 401k. Great medical
8% matching on 401k Is good
