Starting Jan. 1, 2018, 401k does not match after $18,000. Meaning, if you are doing the 50+ catch up, you tap out at $18,000. Vanguard loaded with fees that company installed.

StarStarStarStarStar Current Software Developer in Salt Lake City, Utah

Company matches half up to 6% of salary, which is just fair for the industry. Pension large makes up that shortfall. Switched from Schwab to Vanguard a few years ago and returns have significantly improved.

StarStarStarStarStar Current Employee in Palmdale, California

50% match up to 6% is a very nice set aside.

StarStarStarStarStar Current Employee in San Diego, California

Overall good 401k plan. You have a choice of low risk and high risk options.

  • May 01, 2017
StarStarStarStarStar Current Engineering Designer in Poway, California

General Atomics only matches 1/2 of the girst 4%

  • Apr 17, 2017
StarStarStarStarStar Current Employee in San Diego, California

Good matching and coupled with the retirement plan means 10 years with the company can result in about a year's salary in savings

  • Apr 07, 2017
StarStarStarStarStar Former Technical Writer/Editor II in San Diego, California

401K Managed through Vanguard and company matches up to 7 percent.

  • Feb 25, 2017
StarStarStarStarStar Former Project Engineer in Poway, California

Company match and employee contribution is fine

  • Jan 03, 2017
StarStarStarStarStar Current Project engineer ii in San Diego, California

It's the same as the rest of the industry offers. Nothing special, the only great part is that there is retirement benefits as well in addition to 401k
