Employees enrolled in a Personal Health Account Plan and not enrolled in Medicare or eligible for TRICARE may contribute money on a pre-tax basis to an HSA to pay for qualified medical expenses. Balance will roll forward at year end and is portable when the employee leaves the company. Maximum annual contribution amounts are $3,400 (single) and $6,750(family).
The company gives you 500 but your deductible is 2500 for a single person.
