Best: They offer Personal Hrs, Vacation Hrs, & Sick Time. Vacation & Sick rollover, so use up your Personal Hrs 1st. Worst: You get 2 paid Holidays- Thanksgiving & Christmas. You still have to work your 5days that week, so if you want the holiday off you need to work a weekend day.

The cost is not worth it for some staff who are making well below what would be deemed worth it have such a high cost deducted from their paycheck. Deductible/Co-pay can be confusing and almost always too high. Most staff are not aware what they are choosing or why. Changes almost never can b made unless major life events happen (e.g. marriage, birth, adoption etc.). There are a lot of holes and things such as Rx or specialty consultations/appts are not covered completely. The providers in network are not up to date in the package they give out. 401K is not matched, HSA/FSA contribution minimums are too high for most staff - which are usually the persons that would benefit from these optional benefits the most. The health advocates & benefits specialists are different departments and different entities all together. This can send an employee into a endless back and forth loop often giving them a reason to give up and let their issue/situation lapse or go unfixed. This is especially frustrating for ESL staff.

401 K would be the best benefit while working at Genesis Healthcare. It is very helpful to automatically put away money into an account that is not being touched and using it for the future.

No Holidays, no raises in a few years, but health insurance premiums increase, no 401k match

    High cost to the employee.

It all sounds good, health, dental, 401K(don't assume HR is looking out, for 3 yrs I thought I was paying into my 401K until I went to buy a house), no disability...how ironic. They had Aflac come in and I've been paying for 3 years for short term disability. Of course they found a loop whole for my seizures and liaisons on my brain. It's a joke, sounds good but even meeting my deductible I have thousands in medical bills within 8 months.

There are no paid holidays. There is a strict deadline for vacation requests. The management is great and the staff is great!
