They Offer 401k, Health Insurance, and other benefits
Work family balance very demanding
They claim you get paid holidays but you do not. Regardless if you are hourly or salary you do not get paid holidays. You are not allowed to work the federal holidays because they do not want to pay you time and a half. In order to be paid for the day off you have to use your PTO. PTO is earned very slowly. PTO is earned based off of the hours you work. For example, if you work 80 hours, you earn roughly 4 hours of PTO. That means you earn 8 hours a month. That is roughly 96 hours a year. If there are 11 federal holidays, that would take 88 hours of your PTO. Leaving you with about 8 hours for the rest of the year. Keep this in mind when negotiating your salary. Oh and you do not get raises. When I was hired I was informed that you get a raise every year. They consider a 1% pay increase yearly a raise. 1% is an insult. That doesn't even cover the cost of living increase.
